Rich Holtzin

Rich Holtzin, Ph.D. has taught geosciences, human and natural history, music theory and Eastern and Western Philosophy for a few decades. He served six years with the US Navy, most of which was in the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) billet as a radio-cryptologist operator. After being honorably discharged, he spent more than 40 years in the Southwest, and has hiked and explored thousands of miles in the Grand Canyon and throughout the Colorado Plateau. He is an avid world traveler, former commercial pilot flying a variety of aircraft, wilderness guide and educator for the Grand Canyon Field Institute for some 15 years. More recently, he is the executive director of an astronautics and aerospace think tank group, in Albuquerque, NM, mainly working in S.T.E.M. Education and mathematics labs for high school students.
