We at RocketSTEM could use your assistance as we continue on our mission to inspire the next generation of explorers. No, we aren’t asking you to take out your wallet, but to spend a few seconds a day going to a website and clicking the ‘Vote’ button.

FedEx has launched its second nationwide small business grant contest and RocketSTEM has entered the contest. FedEx is going to award a total of $50,000 to 10 deserving U.S. small businesses, with the grand prize winner receiving a $25,000 grant. And, to be quite honest, we think that RocketSTEM is a great choice for this grant and would appreciate your help by voting for us. If you are a Facebook user, then you can vote ONCE PER DAY through February 23.

The direct link to vote for RocketSTEM is: http://bit.ly/1d8ubIr.

The number of votes a small business receives will boost its visibility in the contest and is one factor FedEx will consider when determining the winners. The top 100 finalists chosen to move on in the contest will be announced on Feb. 26. These finalists will be determined by the number of votes they receive and their contest profile. The top 10 small businesses—including the grand prize winner—will be announced on March 24.

During RocketSTEM’s first year we produced four issues of our magazine, and are hoping to increase that number to between six and nine issues this year. Everyone involved with the organization has graciously donated their time and expertise, but there are still monthly bills we have to pay. Even a free digital magazine isn’t completely free for everyone, as it costs us money to produce each issue.

Winning this grant would allow us to continue to expand our educational content, add even more original feature content, as well as give us the resources to properly position RocketSTEM for continued growth on new platforms in 2014 and beyond.

Please consider visiting the link and voting for us. We’ll be eternally grateful!
